Take a look at the DTT1000 Voice Response Unit. We installed a unitfor our logistic and warehouse department to interact with third
party ground transport drivers though their cellar phones directly to
our AS400 24/7. The drivers schedule, cancel, and inquire on dock
appointment times. They can also get directions to the proper
warehouse for their load or check the status of trailers, which have
been dropped off for unloading.
This unit was easy to customize around our existing host application
screens and required no modification to our AS400 programs. In the
first year, the VRU handled 81,000 phone calls and we were able to
recapture our initial cash outlay of $16,000. We now have 3 of the
DTT1000 VRUs and are using them for various functions in different
departments.
