Scheduling a job

Hi, Zhihong.

This is what I originally wanted to do, but if you tick the weekend
days and public holidays in the calendar, how does the system know
what dates the public holidays fall on? Normally you would specify
the Holiday Calendar ID if you did NOT want public holidays to be
work days, but if you tick the public holiday as a work day, then the
system doesn't allow you to enter a Holiday Calendar ID.

My problem is that I have a job that is scheduled to run with a
particular variant on every WORKDAY (Mon - Fri). I normally wouldn't
want this job to run on weekends or on public holidays UNLESS the 1st
of the month happens to fall on a weekend or public holiday.

I actually think it strange that SAP doesn't allow you to set up a
calendar the way you and I have mentioned, allowing you to specify a
holiday calendar ID for workdays that include public holidays. Maybe
I'm confusing myself here...

Failing this, I would ideally like to know if there is a function or
a table that I could access whereby I could input a date and a
factory caledar ID and have a simple 1 bit character returned that
indicated whether the date I have input is a workday or not (0 or 1,
for example).

I only see us using this type of scheduling VERY rarely, so I don't
want to warrant purchasing special scheduling software for it.

Thanks and regards,

Des.
