Hi,yes there are limits!
You shouldn't set it too high, because you won't win a lot
performance there. I think, there are consistency checks in there, so
that you can't set it too high.
But, a lot more interesting is to use the note 586381, because this
can cut the PCON phase by 3 in larger systems!

P.S.: Why don't you want to go to R/3 Enterprise directly ???! (CPC
on 4.6B and then upgrade to Enterprise)
