APYR3FIX on OS400 V5R2

I loaded from CD 51014338 this morning. The LODR3KRN worked fine. Then I tried
APYR3FIX
to apply patch 840 which is required for OS400 V5R2. It errored out saying it
could not find
data area KERNEL. I created the data area and copied the value
'1R45B703145BV4R2M000253' from another system. Now APYR3FIX says I need to use
CD51014338. Can some one please tell me what this value represents so I can
modify and use it in this upgrade. I have no idea how
the data area disapeared after the upgrade to v5r2.

Hi Berhanu,

unfortunately you are using an too old CD!

You should have a look at:
http://www.easymarketplace.de/KernelDisplayiSeries.php?
Area=4soi&KernelType=OS/400

There you find as minimum patch for 4.5B patches the CD with patch
647!
It is on CD 51014338. So, you should order and install this first.

Regards

Volker
