R/3 Plug-In dependency on BW Plug-In
Hi Group,
We are planning to upgrade our BW 3.1 system with the latest and greatest Add-On
Support packages PI_BASIS, BI_CONT.
Currently we are at the following Support package and Add_On Patches on the BW
Side
PI_BASIS 2002_1_620 Patchlevel 6 (SAPKIPYF56)
BI_CONT 310 Patchlevel 6 (SAPKIBIAP6)
ABAP SAPKA62024
BASIS SAPKB62024
SAP_BW,310 SAPKW31006
and on the R/3 46C Side
PI 2002_1_46C Patchlevel 4 (SAPKIPZF44)
The questions I have is
1. Do we need to upgrade the PI Plug-In on the R/3 side (2002_1_46C) if we
upgrade the PI_BASIS Plug-In in BW 3.1 system from
PI_BASIS 2002_1_620 to PI_BASIS 2003_1_620
2. what are the checks that we need to do before we apply/upgrade these
Add-On's in our system from the point of view of
BW system like no data in the PSA, Transfer Structure related aspects etc.
Any suggestions & thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated
