Recovering from damaged objects

Recently lost a disk drive. It was replaced and it rebuilt itself
with no apparent problems. However, I keep encountering damaged
objects when I try to backup. Is there any way, other than
submitting the backup over and over... to locate all the damaged
objects? Question 2 - relating to SAP tables (i.e. BSIS) - is there
some way to find out the SQL statement used to create the table? I
thought dspfd used to show the CREATE TABLE statement used but can't
find it now. (by the by, I was able to copy data using a cpyf but
would need to delete the old objects and create anew before I could
copy the data back). To further complicate matters, my last good
backup is older than I (or the developers) would want to use. Thanks.
