Upgrade 46d kernel ascii 1044 level
Hello Zi,you will probably have problems getting older kernels to perform a
step-by-step kernel update. SAP only offers the latest kernel for
download. If you open a customer message they might offer you older
versions.
Why don't you test the installation of the current kernel on your
development system? It's quite easy to save your kernel library into
a savefile.
I am quite sure that you have to install PTFs when you are not on the
actual PTF-level recommended by IBM (see following link):
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/service/erp/support.htm
Maybe you will need to order a special kernel cd at sap before you go
to the latest level. See note 636885 for further information.
One of our customers who uses the same release like you is very happy
with patchlevel 1524. If you want I can send it to you.
