I used to do the upload from frontend, I must have done it 100 times on my
old EBCDIC 4.0B and 4.6C systems. Now after our upgrade to the ASCII
codepage it doesn't work and we have to do it manually. It's really a
pain in the butt!

Re: Info about CAR command
Hi Alberto,
I know this error.
But a very silly question now:
Did you do this in the past with success on iSeries ?
Because, I was of the impression, that SPAM on iSeries doesn't
support "un-car".
When I install patches, I always use the following technique:
- Place the CAR or SAR files ot the trans/tmp directory.
- run SAPCAR in the trans directory
=> the uncared patches are in EPS/in
- Then I upload them to the appl-server
Regards
Volker
