Outqs Not being Deleted

Martin,
You can write a CL to CLROUTQ and follow with DLTOUTQ. I suggest running the
DSPOBJD command first for the R3<sid>400 library selecting the generic name
of 'OUTQ' and putting the names into an 'outfile' (output file). You can
then read each record from that file in your CL program and perform the pair
of CLROUTQ and DLTOUTQ commands.

Although I am not on a system to verify, but doesn't a WRKSPLF provide
some options?
If nothing else, you could try and dump a list into an outfile, create a
quick CLP
and deleted those you want to get rid off and in the next step the
outqueue as well.

Now as to the real problem:
I think you would need to list the code of the program (CL) that creates
those out queues in the first place. Is the xxxxx some kind of time
stamp perhaps?

Hi All,

We have an abap that uses and external command from SM49 that does a
wrksyssts reading in the CPU statistics every 5min. We then use a
query to analyze the results. I've noticed that in the R3400 library
there are over 50,000 outqs like OUTQ1xxxxx being created with one
file in them - the screen shot of the wrksyssts external command from
SM49.

Does anyone have insight as to why these outqs are created and why
they aren't being deleted?

Any ideas on how to get rid of them? I could do a dltoutq with a
wildcard but each outq has a file in it so it won't let me delete
it. I would have to clear each outq then delete the outq which is a
lot for 50,000+ outqs.

Thanks,

Philip Stracener, CV Industries
