Recommendations for patchlevels of binary patches on iseries/Windows-Appl.

Hello Niko,

all info I have is note 684835. This feature is currently not yet available for
newer releases, but it is planned to become available. I do not know when.
Please check this note regularly...

Hello Christian,

in note 138704 i saw that 46D_EXT is still in preparation.
Do you know if this feature is implemented in 620? I take care of a
620-installation, but I didn't recognize anything like that yet.
There's a little information about the the feature 'rolling upgrade'
in note 156557, but no details.

Greeting,

Niko Schmitz/gib

kernels, though...).

active. The use of this feature surely will have some preconditions.
For details please do a notes search for these key words, since I do
not know yet where it is described.

appserver will not come up, iff the kernel is not compatible with the
others in use. Reading between the lines this means, that SAP knows,
which kernel patch levels do work together and which ones do not.
Looks like starting from 4.6D_EXT on the problem should be solved.
