Help for Kernel Upgrade in my system 4.6D 1444 from 1400
Raajaraam,first you have to install the latest ptf's according the infoapar of your
current os release.
Then you have to install the kernel cd according to note 318846.
Then you have to patch this new installed kernel with at least patch dw and
lib-DBSL from the marketplace.

Dear Group,
I want to upgrade the KERNEL of the OS. Got CD from SAP # 51019715.
a) CD has os400->as400->v4r4m0 and in that infoapar.440, r3cpic, r3img,
r3opt, r3optc1, r3rfc files.
Root Directory contains lodr3krn, r3qtemp, r3up, r3up3x files. Tools
Directory has insttool, qtemp files.
Where as the marketplace link
b) http://service.sap.com/patches->SAP R/3-> Binary Patches->SAP
Kernel 4.6D 32-Bit-> os/400 V4R4M0-> DB2/400 shows a set of file.
Please guide me now what I have to do. Do I have to download all these
files shown in the marketplace or only use the CD? Or Both!
Though I could download these files also from marketplace using download
manager is there a way to order for this content also in CD & do the upgrade
?
Since I am going to do this kernel upgrade first time please guide me the
steps that I have to follow.
