Hi Volker,we note improvement about the SAV os-command with IFS *TYPE2 it is more fast!!!!

is a book about INSTALLING/UPGRADING to V5R2......you
can find here the steps to convert IFS to
*TYPE2.....we have already performed it without any
problems with SAP R/3....you must only check to have
the last SAP KERNEL level that support IFS *TYPE2...

I have another V5R2 upgrade question. Has anyone
converted their IFS
files to the new TYPE2 format after upgrading to V5R2?
I searched
OSS and this forum but I did not find anything related
to this
topic. I would think that we would still want to do
this and it
would not cause problems with SAP.
