Antwort: Relocating SAP system
Hi Martin,we have done both way's. Both work with a little manual efforts.
If you do a complet system restore you have every thing on the system (IFS
objects --> archieve, profiles... and so one)
this have to be transferd manualy when you do a hom.sys.copie.
The easyer way is to put both system on the same IBM level and restore the
whole system then change the necessary things.
But as every time with SAP test carfully.
Best regards / Mit freundlichen GrüÃen
Thomas

Relocating SAP system
Hi gang,
We have to relocating our PRD system (4.6C) from AS/400 box 720 to a
brand new 825 box (V5R2M0).
Is it the only possibility to make a homogen system copy (R3setup)
with the same SAP sid or shall I restore the whole database (restore
with 21 option) and than make some adjustment. (Network attribute, â¦)
Are there anyone, who made this unsupported type of system copy?
What should I do ?
Thank's in advance:
Martin Zvada
