Windows Kernel Install
Hi Craig,all the EXT kernel CDs are complete install CDs and can be used for
new installations. They contain the platform specific installation
tools (e.g. the R3SETUP and its templates) and usually support new
DB/OS releases.
As far as I know, the new EXT kernel CDs are not shipped
automatically to the customer but they can be ordererd. To run a new
installation with EXT kernels just order the normal installation
package and in addition the corresponding EXT kernel CD. Then take
out the old kernel CD and use the EXT kernel CD instead.
For IBM iSeries platform take a look at note 610257 to get the CD
numbers for each release from 31I to 46D.
