Upgrading from V5R1 to V5R2

Hi Andre,

I yust did a few of those hardware upgrades, and all the times i choosed
for a homogenious system copy from v5r1 to a newly installed and tuned
v5r2.
I did this for 2 reasons:
1: i did not want to migrate tons of old shit, so a clean SAP install and
DB restore would garantee a stable end result.
2 i did not have enough weekends to do 2 upgrades (os & hw)

So the choice is yours, you can have it both ways.

Good luck

Upgrading from V5R1 to V5R2

Hello Group!

We are upgrading our iSeries from 730 with V5R1 to 825 with V5R2.

Can anyone help us about what is the best way to do this? Must we
upgrading our 730 to V5R2 before doing the copy to 825?

Thanks for all help!

Best Regards,
