Variants gone after upgrade
Hi again, group.
After our upgrade from 3.1I to 4.6C to our DEV and TST instances, we have
found that some important variants (specifically for FI/CO jobs, e.g.
cycles) have disappeared. The variants were quite involved and the users
are concerned that they won't be able to duplicate the variants from the
start again (post upgrade).
Is there any way to "save" the variants and import them again post upgrade?
I know this is dangerous, since after the upgrade a lot of the jobs may
well have different selection screens. Surely the data entered into the
previous version's variant can be "mapped" to the new version's variant
though?
If not, is there a way to keep the existing variant's data when upgrading,
or is there perhaps a report/job that can be run to repopulate or convert
old variants to the new ones?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
