Cost Based Optimizer for DB2/400
Hi,the optimizer is CBO.
OS/400 maitains these statistics totally itself. A part of that is
stored in the SQL packs.
Did you delete the SQL Packs after applying the latests PTFs ?
On what OS/400 are you running ?
It is totally normal, that it is often showing "sequential" in SM50,
but it depends on the time, that is really needed. You could check
this in ST05 and will see, that it is mostly very fast.
I don't see the root of your performance problems in the "sequential"
in SM50.
