Lost files from EDI system

Thomas,

Take a look in transaction SM58 (transactional RFCs). You should see the
package(s) containing the missing IDocs. Select an entry that has not be
received by the EDI subsystem and execute it (Edit --> Execute LUW). BD87
at 4.6C also provides a count and link to the tRFCs (IDoc entries in tRFC
queue).

Subject: Lost files from EDI system

Hello everyone,

I have the following setup: AS/400 for SAP DB 4.6c and
a WinNT server as EDI subsystem.

Sometimes we have to end R/3 for maintenance purposes.
When we send EDI data (Idocs) to the ALE port during
this time period, this data is lost.

Does someone knows, what is happening to the data? It
gets transmitted physically without any errors to the
UFS on the AS/400. Does R/3 delete the port directory
during startup? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Thomas
