The enhancement allows the user to build in some checks when creating, changing, displaying or deleting a DD object, the reaction to which may be refusal for the action.

Parameter:

Import parameters:

  • OBJECTNAME Name of the Dictionary object
  • OBJTYPE TADIR type of the Dictionary object
  • OPERATION Action with the values
  • INSERT Create Dictionary object

  • MODIFY Change Dictionary object

  • DISPLAY Display Dictionary object
    (Note: because of the previous checks (for example because of missing authorization) the value of the parameter OPERATION can be 'DISPLAY' even if the Dictionary object is called in change mode.

  • DELETE Delete Dictionary object

Exception:

  • CANCELLED
    If this exception is triggered, the Dictionary object may be locked and the editing is canceled. If the exception is output with a message (MESSAGE ... RAISING ...), this is output as information before the editing is canceled.
