This function module allows you to substitute locations in the delivery with external transportation planning systems for transportation planning. Substituting a location is necessary if a delivery should not be completely planned from the departure to the destination point with one transportation planning system, but partial shipments are to created manually or with other systems.

An example of this scenario is a shipment overseas:

- Delivery 1 goes from Frankfurt to Chicago.

- Main leg shipment T1 (ocean from Hamburg to Boston) has already been planned manually.

- Transportation planning system TPS1 (German road transport) cannot work with the specified location (Chicago).

Here it makes sense to replace the target location (Chicago) with the departure location for the main leg (Hamburg). The planning specifications TPS1 for delivery 1 take place from Frankfurt to Hamburg.

A large number of possible replacements is already covered by the standard version (for example, beginning of the main leg, beginning of the preliminary leg, beginning of the subsequend leg, end of the main leg, and so on). You can use this customer exit for special purposes. You must enter the condition 999 (customer-specific subsitution) in the procedure for the call. The customer exit contains, as an additional criterion for distinction, the name of the calling procedure (TYPE) and the category of the location (departure/target location).

To determine the substitute location, you can refer back to the data of the delivery header and to the list of planning requirements (existin g shipments for the delivery and planning requirements to other TPS).
