Functionality
Value scales and quota scales are used to calculate default values for distributing the total quantity of a generic material among the individual variants. In the quota scales, you enter ratios between the values for variant-creating characteristics.
You can also create and maintain quota scales manually or have the system generate them automatically based on sales figures or planning data.
Which data should be analyzed in which way when quota scales are generated differs from customer to customer. This user exit is therfore available for the automatic maintenance of quota scales.
The system passes on all data stored in value and quota scales to the user exit in the form of internal tables. The user exit is not allowed to change the data it receives, as it is required for the subsequent consistency checks.
You can use this user exit to:
- Create new quota scales
- Change existing quota scales
- Create, change or delete assignments of valid quota scales to a combination of plant/material group.
The result is stored in an internal table. The requesting program checks the returned data for consistency and triggers updating.

Notes
You cannot use this user exit to create value scales (which create the link between characteristics and quota scales). You have to create these manually before you set up automatic generation.
