Use this user exit to control the Customizing settings for processing IDocs for the store physical inventory. You can make the following settings in Customizing for processing the count items without document reference:

1 - Create work item "Count without document reference"

2 - Do not create physical inventory document. Issue warning only.

3 - Only create physical inventory documents when IDoc is repeated.

4 - Create physical inventory documents directly.

The setting is made at the level of the POS inbound profile.

You should use this user exit when the setting at POS inbound profile level is not specific enough. It may be useful to override the settings in Customizing made for lower levels (e.g. storage location, material group). For this purpose, application data is transferred to the user exit. This data can be evaluated and used to determine a new setting for processing the count items without document reference.

You can enter one of the above values in the return parameter of the user exit. This value is then valid for the complete external document in question, i.e. you cannot have a different value at item level.

Example

You enter value 4 - create physical inventory document directly - at POS inbound profile level. However, value 3 - only create physical inventory documents when IDoc is repeated - is to be valid for storage location 0002. In this case, you can set the value '3' in the return parameter of the user exit, if value '0002' is entered in the Storage location field in the transfer structure.
