Duplicate key

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : A WRITE statement was run that tried to write a record to a keyed file. However, the key field in the record is the same as a key that already exists in the file. The record is not written to the file.
Recovery . . . : This error can be intercepted by specifying on the WRITE statement a DUPKEY clause (or an EXIT clause that refers to an EXIT statement with a DUPKEY clause) or by specifying a preceding ON ERROR statement. The ERR intrinsic function can be used to identify the error that occurred. See the BASIC User''s Guide for more information on duplicate keys.
