Field must be character or zoned data type.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : A field that is used in a record ID test must be a type of field that contains alphanumeric characters or zoned decimal numeric data. The field you specified does not contain data with either of these data types.
Recovery . . . : A single column list is available on the bottom of the record ID codes display which shows field data types. Use only those field definitions which have a data type of character or zoned, and then try the request again.
