Message : CPD4318
Derived operands not valid for operator &14. Reason code &8.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : Either the derived operands are not compatible with each other or the operands are not compatible with operator &14. The type of incompatibility is indicated by reason code &8. The reason codes and their meanings follow:
1 -- The operand is not character and not double-byte.
2 -- The operand is not numeric or numeric compatible. Numeric is not compatible with date, time, timestamp, DBCS-only, non-Unicode graphic, or binary string.
3 -- The operands must be the same type or compatible types.
4 -- The operand is a literal.
6 -- The result of the operation is greater than 32,766 bytes.
7 -- The operand is not character.
8 -- The operands are all null type variable fields or NULL literals.
9 -- The operand is floating-point.
10 -- The operand is a literal with a length that is not valid for the operation.
11 -- The result of the operation is variable length and greater than 32,740 bytes.
12 -- The CCSIDs (Coded Character Set Identifiers) of the operands cannot be made compatible.
13 -- The operand must be a date, time, or timestamp data type, or a valid character, double-byte either, double-byte open, UCS-2 or UTF-16 representation of a date, time, or timestamp that is correct for the operation. Also, a labeled duration is not allowed.
14 -- Operand number two is not valid for the operation.
15 -- The operand for addition or subtraction involving a date, time, or timestamp operand is not valid.
16 -- The CCSIDs of the operands require double-byte conversion on one or more fields. Double-byte conversion is not supported for fields.
17 -- The operand for addition or subtraction must not be graphic.
18 -- When one operand for this operation is graphic, all operands must be graphic.
19 -- The operand is not character, double-byte either, or double-byte open.
20 and greater -- View the second level message text of the next message issued (CPD438E) for an explanation of these reason codes.
The derivation is in derived item number &5 for derived field &6 in query format &7. Operand number one is &1 with CCSID &9. Operand number two is &2 with CCSID &10. Operand number three is &3 with CCSID &11. If an operand is *N, either the operand is the result of previously derived operations or the operator does not require three operands.
