Cause . . . . . : The line description specified for channel entries (CHLENTRY parameter) for an ISDN network interface is not an IDLC or X.25 line, or it is an Advanced 36 object. Only IDLC and X.25 line descriptions created on IBM System i5 can be attached to ISDN network interface descriptions. The line description specified for DLCI entries (DLCI parameter) for a Frame Relay network interface is not a DDI, Ethernet, Frame Relay or Token Ring line. Only DDI, Ethernet, Frame Relay and Token Ring line descriptions can be attached to Frame Relay network interface descriptions.
Recovery . . . : For ISDN network interfaces, specify the name of an existing IDLC or X.25 line description, then try the command again. Use the Work with Line Descriptions display (WRKLIND command) to see a list of existing line descriptions. For Frame Relay network interfaces, specify the name of an existing DDI, Ethernet, Frame Relay or Token Ring line description, then try the command again. Use the Work with Line Descriptions display (WRKLIND command) to see a list of existing line descriptions.
