Cause . . . . . : Recontact at vary off (RECONTACT parameter) is allowed only if the link type (LINKTYPE parameter) is *IDLC, *SDLC, or *X25, and the value for switched connection (SWITCHED parameter) is *NO.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following, then try the request again:
-- Do not specify recontact at vary off.
-- Change switched connection to *NO.
-- Change the link type to *IDLC, *SDLC, or *X25. If this controller description has already been created, the link type cannot be changed; the controller description must be deleted and created again with the correct link type.
