Cause . . . . . : The controller description &1 is not created. Reason code is &2. Reason codes and their meanings follow:
1271 -- The maximum frame size (MAXFRAME parameter) value on the controller description is greater than the maximum frame size (MAXFRAME parameter) value on the IDLC line description.
1273 -- The IDLC transmit window size (IDLCWDWSIZ parameter) on the controller description is greater than the IDLC transmit window size (IDLCWDWSIZ parameter) on the IDLC line description.
1275 -- A switched controller cannot specify an internal token ring line in the switched line list (SWTLINLST parameter).
1280 -- A Host controller can not be attached to an SNA pass-through device with class (SNPTCLS parameter) *DOWN.
1281 -- A Host controller can not be attached to a display, printer, finance, or retail device with a device class (DEVCLS parameter) *SNPT.
1282 -- An APPC controller can not be attached to a display, printer, finance, or retail device with a device class (DEVCLS parameter) other than *SNPT.
1284 -- An APPC controller with link type (LINKTYPE parameter) *LOCAL or *OPC can not be attached to a display, printer, finance, or retail device with device class (DEVCLS parameter) *SNPT or to an SNA pass-through device.
1285 -- IBM System i5 controllers cannot be attached to Advanced 36 objects (lines or devices).
1304 -- The device specified for the attached devices (DEV parameter) is not compatible with controller.
Recovery . . . : Correct any errors, then try the request again.
