Message : CPD8FA3
Local adapter address &2 not valid.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : Local adapter address &2 cannot be used for network server attached lines. The local adapter address must be a 12 character hexadecimal value, and:
-- For token ring lines, the last character of the local adapter address must be X.
-- For Ethernet lines, the second to last character of the local adapter address must be X.
Recovery . . . : Change the local adapter address (ADPTADR parameter). Then try the request again.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : Network server attached lines each require a block of 16 addresses. The local adapter address (ADPTADR parameter) has to be specified as follows:
-- *ADPT cannot be used.
-- For token ring lines, the last character must be X. The host adapter address is the same as the ADPTADR except that the last character is a zero.
-- For Ethernet lines, the second to last character must be X. The host adapter address is the same as the ADPTADR except that the second to last character is a zero.
The system automatically assigns the other 15 addresses. These are the same as the local adapter address except:
-- For token ring lines, the last character is assigned values 1, 2, 3, 4, ... E, F.
-- For Ethernet lines, the second to last character is assigned values 1, 2, 3, 4, ... E, F.
