An error occurred trying to vary-on an ASP device.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The vary-on of an Auxiliary Storage Pool (ASP) device failed because the system detected a problem on disk unit number &2, subunit &3. The source of the error is &4 with 1 being the only or the production copy of the ASP and 2 being the geographic mirroring mirror copy. The reason code is &1.
The reason codes are:
0306 - The system configuration does not match.
0308 - The system cannot detect if this mirror disk unit is valid.
0310 - The disk unit is missing from the configuration.
0312 - The disk unit is in the process of being restored.
0316 - The disk device does not have pages available for error recovery procedures.
0320 - The type and model of the disk device are not known.
0322 - The disk device parity status does not match what the system expected.
0324 - The disk device is in an ASP that has mirrored protection but the disk unit is not device parity protected.
0326 - The disk device failed to complete the start compression steps.
0330 - Either one unit from a mirrored pair of disk units is missing or both are present but conflict.
0332 - The system cannot find the ASP disk unit containing current data.
0334 - A connection to a disk device is missing.
Recovery . . . :
0330 - Fix the missing unit or use the Disk Management function of iSeries Navigator and select the Recover Unknown Configuration Source option.
