Message : CPDB8E4
ASP device status change not allowed.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : A problem was detected when attempting to vary the status of an Auxiliary Storage Pool (ASP) device. The ASP device is &1. The reason code is &2.
The reason codes are:
1 - Objects in the ASP are in-use or there is an active job that has its current directory in the ASP.
2 - Network Storage Servers are using the ASP.
3 - Jobs have activations of programs in the ASP.
5 - The vary job is using the ASP and cannot be ended.
6 - Existing jobs have not completed system actions that were started prior to the previous varyoff of the ASP.
7 - Previous failure prohibits varyon within this IPL.
8 - There are existing locks on objects in the ASP.
9 - The system is in restricted state.
10 - Geographic mirroring is active for the ASP device.
11 - The ASP is not the one the system previously used (it is an incompatible copy or the other half of a mirrored pair).
12 - An ASP in the ASP group is not the one previously used with the ASP group (it is a different copy or the other half of a mirrored pair).
Recovery . . . : For reason codes 1, 3, 5 and 8, end the jobs that are using the ASP or end their use of the ASP. To identify the jobs, use the Work with ASP Jobs (WRKASPJOB) command or the Disk Management function of iSeries Navigator and select the ASP's Jobs button. For reason code 2, varyoff the Network Storage Servers. For reason code 6, wait for the system actions to complete. For reason codes 7 and 11, IPL the system. For reason code 9, try the operation when not in restricted state. For reason code 10, varyoff the production copy. For reason code 12, use the correct copy or delete the ASP.
