Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The Create Network Interface Description command failed. The reason code is &2. Reason codes and their meanings follow:
--1701: The resource name for the line description was not *NWID but the channel entries (CHLENTRY), DLCI entries (DLCI), or attached lines (LINE) parameter was specified.
--1702: Either the connection type (CNN parameter) of the specified line description does not match the connection type for the channel (CHLENTRY) or the line is not IDLC or X.25.
--1703: The specified line is already attached to another network interface (NWI).
--1704: The line description specified for the channel entries (CHLENTRY) is not correct for the channel number. Network lines can only be attached to the D-channel; IDLC and X.25 lines can only be attached to B-channels.
--1705: The line description specified for the DLCI entries (DLCI) is the wrong type. A frame relay NWI only supports distributed data interface (DDI), Ethernet, token-ring, or frame relay lines.
Recovery . . . : Reason codes and their recoveries follow. Do one of the following and try the request again:
--1701: Specify the name of an existing line description with resource name *NWID.
--1702: Specify the name of an existing IDLC or X.25 line description with a connection type of nonswitched (*NONSWT).
--1703: Specify the name of an existing IDLC or X.25 line description that is not already attached to an NWI.
--1704: For connections using the D-channel (*D), specify a network line description. For connections using the B-channels (channel 1 or 2), specify an IDLC or X.25 line description.
--1705: Specify the name of an existing DDI, Ethernet, token-ring, or frame relay line description.
