General Data in Customer Master PERFORM Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by IBM.
Message : CPF427D
Substitution characters may be used in data conversion.
Message Long Text :
Cause . . . . . : When converting data from Coded Character Set ID (CCSID) &4 to CCSID &5 substitution characters may be used. Data in member &1, file &2 in library &3 may be affected. The times substitution may occur are:
-- When inserting or updating a record.
-- When retrieving a record.
-- When using a key to retrieve a record or position to a record.
-- When getting back the key as part of I/O feedback of a record.
Recovery . . . : If the file is being used to retrieve records only, what is displayed may not reflect what is stored in the data. If the file is being opened to insert or update records, what gets put into the file may not be retrievable. If keys are being used to access the data, the key requested may not return the record expected. If the data will not contain characters that will cause substitution, this message can be ignored. If substitution may affect how the application uses the file, try to find a CCSID that the process can run under that will not cause substitution.
