Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The minimum block length allowed is 18 bytes. The maximum block length is 524,288. An exception is an ASCII output file with buffer offset of *BLKDSC, which has a maximum block length of 9999. Not all devices support the maximum block length of 524,288. Most tape devices only support up to a maximum block length of 262,144. This device may only support a maximum 32,767 block length.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following, and then try the request again:
-- Specify the correct block length (BLKLEN).
-- Change the BUFOFSET on the OVRTAPF command.
Technical description . . . . . . . . :
-- Save commands support an optimum block length when a save is issued. The optimum block length used will create the optimum performance for the device.
-- Use the Retrieve Device Capabilities API to determine what the maximum and optimum block lengths are for this device.
