Communications failure on device &1.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : Media library device &1 has a communications problem. The communications necessary to use the media library device may not be configured correctly, or may have failed. The condition code of &3 may indicate the cause:
1 -- A communications connection with the library device manager was never established.
2 -- A communications failure has occurred.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following based on the condition code &3:
1 -- Determine why the connection was never established. The library device manager may not have been configured correctly for the other end of the communications connection. The communication line, controller, and/or device may not be varied on; use the Work with Configuration Status (WRKCFGSTS) command to determine the status of communication line, controller, and device.
2 -- Determine why the communication connection failed. See the QSYSOPR message queue or the Licensed Internal Code log (VLOGs).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : If the CFGDEVMLB command was used to create the communication controller and device, they are named &2; if the communication interface is for an RS-232 connection, the name of the line description is &2. Other possible causes of the error:
-- Use the Display Mode Status (DSPMODSTS) command and confirm that the mode status is started. If it is not started, use the Start Mode (STRMOD) command.
-- Confirm that this system is configured on the library device manager. For LAN configurations, use the Display Lan Media Library (DSPLANMLB) command to determine the information to enter on the library device manager console.
-- If changes are made to the line, controller, device and/or ROBOTDEV parameter in the library device description, the library device must be varied off and varied on with the Vary Configuration (VRYCFG) command.
-- Confirm that the library device manager console reports the library device manager as online and active.
