Cause . . . . . : If the tape is a reel tape:
The end of the tape reflective marker was found while writing the volume label or the tape markers at the beginning of the tape. The beginning of tape marker may be too close to the end of the tape marker, or the beginning marker may not be correctly positioned on the tape.
If the tape is a cartridge tape, the cartridge cannot be used.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following:
-- To correct the problem for a reel tape, move the reflective markers and then specify VOL(*MOUNTED) CHECK(*NO) on the initialize tape (INZTAP) command.
-- For a cartridge tape, try a different cartridge.
