Cause . . . . . : An error occurred on device &1 while trying to read a file label identifier or a creation date. A value other than *NONE was specified for either the LABEL or CRTDATE parameter. Only the value *NONE is allowed for the LABEL or CRTDATE parameter when processing a nonlabeled tape or when TYPE(*HEX) is specified for dumping a standard label tape.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following actions, and then try the command again:
-- Load a standard label volume on the tape drive.
-- Specify LABEL(*NONE) for the dump tape (DMPTAP) command.
-- Specify LABEL(*NONE) and CRTDATE(*NONE) for the Check Tape (CHKTAP) command.
