Cause . . . . . : Application programming interface (API) &2 requires that the device be varied on for format &1, but device &3 is not currently varied on.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following:
-- Use the Work with Configuration Status (WRKCFGSTS) command for stand alone device descriptions to vary on device &3.
-- Use the Work with Media Library Status (WRKMLBSTS) command for media library device descriptions to vary on device &3.
-- For the definition of &2, see the APIs topic collection in the Programming category in the IBM i Information Center book, http://www.ibm.com/systems/i/infocenter/.
