CPF67FA - Volume compatibility not correct. ( OS/400 )
Vendor Master (General Section) ABAP Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by IBM.
Message : CPF67FA
Volume compatibility not correct.
Message Long Text :
Cause . . . . . : The input volume &2 on device &3 has attributes that are not compatible with output volume &5 on device &6. If the volume specified is *N, then the volume is a non labeled tape volume. Duplication of volume &2 on device &3 can only occur if volume &2 on device &3 and volume &5 on device &6 are compatible in all attributes. Volume &5 on device &6 may be initialized again if one of the following combination of sequence numbers is specified and volume compatibility does not exist:
-- FROMSEQNBR and TOSEQNBR parameters are the command defaults.
-- TOSEQNBR parameter is 1.
-- FROMSEQNBR is either *ALL, *FIRST, or 1, and the TOSEQNBR parameter is *FROMSEQ.
One of the following attributes may be the cause and is not correct:
-- If TOVOL(*FROMVOL) was specified, output to the first file sequence number is required to ensure the tape volume is prepared with the correct volume identifier.
-- Input and output volumes have a code mismatch; one volume may be ASCII code and the other may be EBCDIC code.
-- Input and output volumes may have different volume types; one volume may be a standard labeled volume and the other a non labeled tape volume.
-- TODENSITY specified may not be the same as the output volume &5 on device &6.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following and try the request again:
-- Determine what compatibility attribute is not correct and try the request again.
-- Specify command defaults for the FROMSEQNBR and TOSEQNBR parameters on the Duplicate Tape (DUPTAP) command.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : If device &3 is a media library device, then the cartridge identifier of volume &2 is &10. If device &6 is a media library device, then the cartridge identifier of volume &5 is &11.
