CPF7139 - Invalid attributes or location for variable &3. ( OS/400 )
PERFORM Short Reference BAL Application Log DocumentationThis documentation is copyright by IBM.
Message : CPF7139
Invalid attributes or location for variable &3.
Message Long Text :
Cause . . . . . : The variable is &3 for program &1. The variable cannot be processed because internal data used to describe its attributes or location contains unusable values. A program error probably changed the data to invalid values.
Recovery . . . : Ensure that the program sets all basing pointers correctly and does not change data that is outside the allocated space for a string. You may need to use ODV numbers to display the value of the variable and the internal data that describes it.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : Some variables in a high-level language program are described by data, internal to the program, that is set during program execution. This data may be unusable because a program error changed the internal data. For example, your program can destroy the internal data if it changes the value of a based variable when the basing pointer is not set correctly, or if it changes bytes that are outside the allocated length of a string. The variable that cannot be processed is &3.
