APPC failure. Failure code is &3.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : An APPC failure occurred while pass-through was using device &1 on system &2. The first four digits of the failure code contain the reason code. The remaining digits contain sense data. Values for the first four digits of the failure code are:
0009 -- Activate session timed out.
0010 -- Device not varied on.
408B or 488B -- The mode specified on the Start Pass-through (STRPASTHR) command is not valid.
408C or 488C -- The default mode specified in the network attributes does not exist.
4834 -- Recovery canceled.
6826,E015-E019,E01A -- SNA failure (see sense data).
E020-E022 -- Hardware failure (sense data is hardware error code).
Recovery . . . : See any previously listed messages in the job log to determine the cause of the error. Correct the errors and try the request again. If the problem continues, report the problem (ANZPRB command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The recovery is determined by the failure code.
0009 --
-- 1. Make sure that there is an active subsystem on the target system with a communication entry for the target APPC or APPN device. If not, use the Add Communications Entry (ADDCMNE) command to add the device in the subsystem and start the subsystem.
-- 2. Use the Display Mode Description (DSPMODD) command to be sure that the communication mode on the source, target, and any intermediate systems have matching descriptions.
-- 3. Use the Display Mode Status (DSPMODSTS) command to show the number of active sessions. If there are no available sessions in the mode, use another mode or wait until one of the sessions is free.
-- 4. Increase the default wait time in the CLASS used by the STRPASTHR command.
-- 5. Check the QSYSOPR message queue for message CPP1236, which can provide additional information about the failure.
0010 -- Vary on the APPC device.
408B or 488B -- Correct the MODE name.
408C or 488C -- Use the Display Network Attributes (DSPNETA) command to find out what the default mode name is. Then, either create a mode description by that name (CRTMODD command), or change the default mode name (CHGNETA command) to the name of a mode that you created.
