Message : CPFA0E2
System unable to establish a communications connection to a file server.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : An attempt was made to perform an operation on object &1 that required interaction with a file server. However, a communications connection could not be established with the file server. There may be a possible configuration problem.
Recovery . . . :
If the communications protocol being used is TCP/IP, use the Verify TCP/IP Connection (PING) command to test the connection between the local system and the remote system. Note that the PING command requires the host name of the remote system. On some file systems, the host name is included in the path name. If the PING command did not complete successfully, do the following:
-- Verify that the TCP/IP protocol stack is active on the local and remote systems.
-- Verify that the host name that represents the remote system is a valid host name.
-- Verify that there is an active route from the local system to the remote system using Work with TCP/IP Network Status (NETSTAT) command to display the route information list.
-- Verify that there are ports available to be used using the NETSTAT command to display the connection status list.
If the communications protocol being used is advanced program-to-program communications (APPC), do the following:
-- Verify that the combination of remote location, local location, and remote network identifier in the APPC device description is correct using the Work with Device Descriptions (WRKDEVD) command. Note that on some file systems, the remote location name is included in the path name.
-- If APPN is being used, use the Display APPN Information (DSPAPPNINF) command to verify that there is an active path, from your system to the remote system, that satisfies the class-of-service attached to the mode that is being used.
-- Some file systems require that there be a locally controlled session that is not in use (for example, a session specifically established for use by the APPC connection). Verify that such a session exists by using the Display Mode Status (DSPMODSTS) command.
When the condition has been corrected, try the request again.
