Cause . . . . . : An error has occurred while attempting to perform a file system operation. The reason code is &1. Reason codes and their meanings are as follows:
1. Requested file operation is not valid.
2. Length of Input Buffer (in bytes) is not valid.
3. Length of Output Buffer (in bytes) is not valid.
4. Input Buffer pointer is not set or is not valid.
5. Output Buffer pointer is not set or is not valid.
6. Error code pointer is not set or is not valid.
7. A parameter could not be received.
8. Not authorized to the /ETC/NETGROUP file.
9. Client, netgroup, or host name is not valid.
10. Unknown client, netgroup, or host name detected.
11. Damage detected in the /ETC/NETGROUP file.
12. Entry detected with a format that is not valid.
13. The /ETC/NETGROUP file could not be processed.
14. The Journal given does not match the Journal already associated with the object.
15. The object is not currently Journaled.
16. Error detected while processing mounted file system information.
17. The only visible mounts parameter is not valid.
18. The file system type filter is not valid.

Recovery . . . : See any previous messages in the job log and perform the recovery for those messages. In addition, the following recovery should be performed relating to the reason codes given above:

1. The following are the valid file operation values:
(1) Retrieve netgroup entries from the /ETC/NETGROUP file.
(2) Write netgroup entries to the /ETC/NETGROUP file.
(3) Retrieve NFS exports of a remote system.
(4) Retrieve information for currently mounted file systems.

7. Since one of the parameters given could not be received, the requested file operation could not be performed. If this problem persists, contact your IBM service representative.

11. Delete the /ETC/NETGROUP file and try the request again.

13. Try the request again. If the problem persists, do the following:
a. Rename the /ETC/NETGROUP file.
b. Try the request again. This will create a new /ETC/NETGROUP
file.
c. Copy the netgroup entry information from the original file
into the new /ETC/NETGROUP file, one entry at a time, until
the original problem is detected.
d. Fix the detected problem.
e. Try the original request again.

16. Try the request again. If this problem persists, contact your IBM service representative.

17. The following are the valid values for only visible mounts:
(0) Show all mounts matching other selection criteria.
(1) Show only the mounts that have not been covered by another mount.

18. See the Perform File System Operation (QP0LFLOP) API documentation for the valid file system system type filters.
