Cause . . . . . : An error occurred in function &1 called from application &2 at statement &3. One or more data values specified in a call to CHPLOT, CHSURF, CHHIST, or CHBAR are outside an axis range explicitly specified, or outside an axis range set by the first call to one of these functions. This message may also occur if a line graph or surface chart is plotted using a smooth curve connection between points (CURVE option on CHSET routine). This may be caused by one of the following:
-- If automatic scaling is used, each axis range is set on the first call to CHPLOT or CHSURF. A later call to CHPLOT or CHSURF may supply data points entirely within the axis ranges, but the interpolated curves may extend outside one of the ranges.
-- If a logarithmic axis is automatically scaled, only the supplied data points are used for automatic scaling. The interpolated curves may extend outside this automatically scaled range. The chart is constructed, but is clipped to contain only those points within the axis ranges.
Recovery . . . : If the result was not what you intended, set the axis range explicitly using either the CHXRNG call or the CHYRNG call to include all the data points and all the interpolated smooth curves.
