Message : CPI431B
Substitution characters may be used for field.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) compatibility processing for one or more fields involved in specification &1 may result in substitution characters being used during the implementation of the query. The specifications and their unique information follow:
1 -- Derivation. The derived field is &9 in query format &10. The operand is &3 with CCSID &4. The resulting CCSID for the operand is &6. If the operand is *N, it is the result of some previous derivation.
2 -- Record selection. Operand number one is &3 with CCSID &4. Operand number two is &5 with CCSID &6.
3 -- Group by selection. Operand number one is &3 with CCSID &4. Operand number two is &5 with CCSID &6.
4 -- Join. The join fields are &3 with CCSID &4 and &5 with CCSID &6.
5 -- Input/output mapping. The I/O (input/output) field is &3 with CCSID &4 in format &10. The final CCSID required for the I/O field is &6.
6 -- Set operator (UNION, EXCEPT, or INTERSECT). The set operator field is &3 with CCSID &4 in query record format &10. It is being converted to CCSID &6.
7 -- Field to field mapping. The original field is &3 with CCSID &4 in format &7. It is being mapped to field &5 with CCSID &6 in format &10. If the original field is *N, it is the result of some derivation.
8 -- Case selection. Operand number one is &3 with CCSID &4. Operand number two is &5 with CCSID &6.
Recovery . . . : No changes are necessary. However, if substitution characters must not be used in the above specification, use fields with CCSIDs such that substitution characters are not required. Then try your request again. See the i5/OS globalization topic collection in the Programming category in the IBM i Information Center, http://www.ibm.com/systems/i/infocenter/, for more information on working with CCSIDs and substitution characters.
