Message : CPI431E
Sort sequence table caused substitution characters to be used in variable field value.
Message Long Text :
Cause . . . . . : Value &6 was processed using sort sequence table in &1 type &2 in library &3 with a CCSID of &5. The table contains substitution characters that were used in the value. If CCSID &5 does not match the sort sequence table's original CCSID of &4, then the table's CCSID was converted to the CCSID of the value for compatibility processing.
Recovery . . . : No changes are necessary. However, if substitution characters must not be used in the value, do one of the following and try your request again:
-- Specify a sort sequence table that does not contain substitution characters.
-- If the specified sort sequence table's CCSID was converted and resulted in substitution characters, specify a table or a value with a different CCSID such that substitution characters are not required to make them compatible.
See the i5/OS globalization topic collection in the Programming category in the IBM i Information Center, http://www.ibm.com/systems/i/infocenter/, for more information on working with CCSIDs and substitution characters.
