Line &23 failed. Address in use.
Message Long Text :
Cause . . . . . : During activation, the IBM i detected another system using the same MAC address
Recovery . . . : Do the following:
-- Change the ADPTADR parameter in the line description to a value that is not already in use.
-- Verify that other systems on the local area network are using the correct MAC addresses.
-- Use the Vary Configuration (VRYCFG) command to vary line &23 off, then on.
-- For lines that do not attach to network interfaces, use the VRYCFG command to vary line &23 off. Then use the VRYCFG command with reset (RESET parameter) specified as yes (*YES) if allowed to reset the input/output processor (IOP) and to vary line &23 on. If the system sends a diagnostic message because other lines are varied on, vary them off, then vary line &23 on with the RESET parameter specified as *YES if allowed.
-- For lines that attach to network interfaces, use the VRYCFG command to vary off the network interface the line was using. Then use the VRYCFG command with the RESET parameter specified as *YES if allowed to reset the IOP and to vary the network interface on.
If the problem continues, report the problem (ANZPRB command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The error log identifier is &22. The error code is &40. Error codes and their meanings are:
40D30001 - The IBM i sent an XID command to its own MAC address and received a response from another system on the local area network.
