Cause . . . . . : One of the following may have caused the problem:
-- The environment may be electrically noisy.
-- The telephone line quality may be poor.
-- The modem may not be properly grounded.
Recovery . . . : You may choose to ignore this message because your line is operational. Refer to the System Hardware Information Center Planning information for information about electrical requirements and noise problem considerations. A noisy telephone line may be causing your problem. Consult the local telephone company to have the line tested to verify line quality. Consult the modem manufacturer to determine the proper grounding technique to use. The threshold function may be turned off or changed in the threshold (THRESHOLD) parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command. To report the problem, start problem analysis (ANZPRB command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The frame-check-sequence (FCS) has been found to be in error. The line data was in error and the FCS error counter reached the value specified by the THRESHOLD value in the CRTLINSDLC command.
