Message : CPI8E12
Line &23 threshold information.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : One of the following may have caused the problem:
-- The local or remote modem, multiplexers, protocol converters, or interface converters, may be configured incorrectly (particularly regarding the fill character between frames).
-- The telephone line quality may be poor.
-- The environment may be electrically noisy.
-- The modem may not be properly grounded.
Recovery . . . : You may choose to ignore this message because your line is operational. If you are not satisfied with the operation of your communications equipment, verify that your local or remote modem, multiplexers, protocol converters, or interface converters are configured to be compatible with each other and with the computer equipment, particularly regarding the fill character between frames. A noisy telephone line may be causing your problem. Consult the local telephone company to have the line tested to verify line quality. Electrical noise may be causing this problem. Refer to the IBM Systems Hardware Information Center Planning information for information about electrical requirements and noise problem considerations. Consult the modem manufacturer to determine the proper grounding technique to use. The threshold function may be turned off or changed in the threshold (THRESHOLD) parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command. To report the problem, start problem analysis (ANZPRB command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The receive (NR) count errors result from the remote station acknowledging with a NR count that does not agree with the local count. This is because of the loss of frames or the discarding of frames because of errors or the lack of buffer space. This occurred often enough to cause the counter of NR errors to reach the value specified by the THRESHOLD value in the CRTLINSDLC command.
