Cause . . . . . : One of the following may have caused the problem:
-- The modem may not be properly grounded.
-- The environment may be electrically noisy (very low probability).
Recovery . . . : You may choose to ignore this message if you have been successful in establishing a switched connection. Consult the modem manufacturer to determine the proper grounding technique to use. An electrically noisy environment may be causing this problem. Refer to the IBM Systems Hardware Information Center Planning information for information about electrical requirements and noise problem considerations. The threshold function may be turned off or changed in the threshold (THRESHOLD) parameter on the CRTLINASC command. To report the problem, start problem analysis (ANZPRB command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : A connection to the remote station cannot be completed. This causes the automatic call unit (ACU) to activate the abandon call retry error signal. The error has occurred enough times to cause a threshold error.
